Lushnja possesses numerous cultural, historical, ethnographic and even archaeological assets. Lushnja is ranked the second after Vlora in terms of historical importance. Among other things, this city enjoys numerous natural resources and national wealth, the promotion of which serves as an important tool in the development of tourism, the economic empowerment of the city, as well as the protection of these areas. The development of the information technology offers different ways of promoting cultural heritage and tourist areas. In today’s world, using technology, the “virtual tourism” has been developed, which is an immersive experience of any location or destination around the world that is promoted and brought to life through technology.
Lushnja Explore presents a virtual space for the city of Lushnja in order to promote tourism by promoting the culture, tradition and natural resources of this city. The online platform is equipped with audio-visual products that reflect the monuments/objects/touristic areas, accompanied by complete information (written and audio) for viewers/visitors, enabling a “virtual museum and guide” that demonstrates history, culture, tradition or promotes tourism.
The platform has been established by ALTRI Centre in partnership with Be the Change Centre within the framework of the project “Regional Programme for Local Democracy in the Western Balkans 2 – ReLOaD2”, which is financed by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). CSOs act as partners to local governments and support them in addressing the needs of local communities.
